Click the dropdown next to a header on a month’s expense sheet to filter by amounts, dates, companies, etc. To avoid this, click “Mark as complete” on the month’s sheet before importing.

If you want to reimport a month after you fix your categories, your new import will overwrite the old one automatically.

New months are automatically named based on the month the first transaction occurs in.

Averages update after every import, or can be manually updated by clicking “Refresh” on the homepage.

The program will find the company name anywhere in the transaction name and is not case-sensitive.

Once you click that button, the sheet will count towards the averages and not be overwritten by any subsequent imports of the same month. This allows you to make any edits to the final split values if necessary.

Mark as Completed to View Averages: Each sheet of expenses that is created has a “Mark as Completed” button.

You can now go ahead and import other month’s expenses the same way, with the system automatically creating sheets for the different months. If left empty it will just open to your file explorer.

Note: If you import expenses from the same folder every time, you can put that folder path in the “Expense File Path” yellow field.

So you only need to add “Chipotle,” for example, as a company once. The company/category combinations you just set up will be saved and apply to all future imports.

This will automatically delete the previous sheet.

Import to Your Heart’s Content: Now that the categories are set, you can follow step 5 again to reimport the expenses.
